Asahi Group Holdings, Ltd. is a prominent Japanese conglomerate that primarily manufactures and distributes a diverse portfolio of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, along with various food products. Its extensive operations span not only Japan but also numerous international markets. The company's business activities are structured across several key segments: Alcohol Beverages, Soft Drinks, Food, Overseas, and Other operations. Within its alcoholic beverage division, Asahi offers a wide array of products, including various beers (domestic, imported, and non-alcoholic options), wines, shochu, whiskies, ready-to-drink (RTD) cocktails, happoshu, and other spirits. Its non-alcoholic offerings are equally extensive, featuring ciders, carbonated drinks, coffee, tea, lactic acid beverages, mineral waters, sports drinks, and fruit juices. The food division encompasses confectioneries, health supplements, yeast extracts, baby foods (including powdered milk), skincare items, and a significant line of freeze-dried foods such as soups, porridges, risottos, stews, pastas, and curries. These products are marketed under a vast collection of well-known brands, which include Asahi Super Dry, Calpis, Peroni Nastro Azzurro, Mitsuya Cider, Wonda, and Mintia, among many others. Beyond its core manufacturing, Asahi also operates restaurants and supplies specialized products including fertilizers, as well as microbiological and biochemical solutions. Founded in 1889, the company initially operated as Asahi Breweries, Ltd. before adopting its current name, Asahi Group Holdings, Ltd., in July 2011. Its global headquarters are situated in Tokyo, Japan.
