Privacy Policy
Version 2026:8 — Effective date: August 27, 2026
This policy explains what information DRIPCalc.com ("DRIPCalc," "we," "us") collects when you use the DRIPCalc website, mobile apps, and API (together, the "Service"), how we use it, and the choices you have. It is incorporated into our Terms of Service.
What We Do Not Do
We do not sell your personal information. Ever. We also do not share it for targeted advertising, and no advertising network runs on the Service. Beyond that:
- We never see or store your credit or debit card numbers — payment is handled entirely by third-party payment processors and app-store billing.
- We never ask for bank account details, Social Security or tax ID numbers, or government IDs.
- We never connect to your brokerage, and we never hold brokerage logins, API keys, or tokens.
- We do not collect biometrics or precise location, and we do not buy data about you from data brokers.
- We do not give anyone access to your portfolio data for their own purposes.
Information We Collect
- Account information you give us: email address, username, name, and a password (stored only as a cryptographic hash).
- Portfolio and tool data you enter: holdings, transactions, dividend records, watchlists, saved calculator inputs, and similar. We treat this as the most sensitive data we hold — it is used only to run the features you entered it into and is never sold or shared for marketing.
- Payment and subscription records: payment itself happens entirely on the systems of third-party payment processors (web) and app-store billing (mobile). We receive only what we need to activate and manage your subscription — plan, status, and transaction identifiers — never your card number.
- Basic usage analytics, collected first-party: pages viewed, general region, device type, and how features are used. Certain features also keep a record of what the Service displayed to you, partly so we can prove exactly what you were shown.
- Essential cookies that keep you signed in, keep your session secure, and remember your preferences. We do not use tracking cookies from ad networks.
- Standard server logs (IP address, browser type, pages requested) kept for security and debugging, and a record of the legal documents you accept — which version, when, and from where — so we can prove what was agreed.
How We Use Information
To operate the Service and its features, authenticate and secure your account, process subscriptions, prevent fraud and abuse, send you service email (receipts, renewal and security notices), improve the Service, enforce our Terms, comply with the law, and defend legal claims. That is the whole list.
How We Share Information
Only with service providers necessary to run the Service — payment processors, app stores, hosting and infrastructure, email delivery, and website statistics — each receiving only what its job requires; with our professional advisers under confidentiality; with authorities when we believe in good faith the law requires it; and with a successor if the business is ever sold or reorganized (your data would remain under a policy at least as protective). No ad networks, no data sales.
We send transactional email tied to your account (receipts, renewal and expiration notices, security alerts). Marketing or content email, if we send any, goes through a standard email service, and every such message includes an unsubscribe link that works immediately. Unsubscribing from marketing does not stop transactional email while your account exists.
Data Retention and Deletion
We keep your account and portfolio data for as long as your account exists. You can request deletion of your account and data at any time by contacting us; after we verify the request, we delete or de-identify your data, except for records the law requires us to keep (such as payment, tax, and fraud-prevention records), which are kept only as long as required. Usage analytics are pruned to aggregate statistics on a rolling basis, and deleted data may persist briefly in encrypted backups before rotation.
Security
We use reasonable safeguards: encrypted connections, hashed passwords, access limited to those who need it, and card handling delegated entirely to payment processors and app stores. No system is perfectly secure; if a breach affects your personal data, we will notify you as required by law.
Your Choices
You may ask us to access, correct, or delete the personal data we hold about you, or to give you a copy of the data you provided. Email us from your account address and we will verify the request and respond within the time applicable law requires. You can also clear or block cookies in your browser; the Service works without the analytics cookie.
Children
The Service is not directed to anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us and we will review and address your request.
International Users
We operate from the United States and store data in the United States. If you use the Service from elsewhere, your data is processed in the U.S., where privacy law may differ from your jurisdiction.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Each version carries a version number and effective date, and for material changes we will give notice before they take effect. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
